Mother Words

By: Teresa Higginbotham

I remember those words so many years when my husband said, "I love you,
will you marry me?" Little did I know they would lead to so many
more interesting, funny and moving words in my life.

It's a boy!

Listen maam,, it's normal for the baby to cry during immunizations,
but I just had to loan your husband a tissue.

Mom, why did that lady let all those monkeys jump on her bed, anyway?

What do you mean I have to share my room?

Mom don't you know the stars at night are God's eyes? How do you
think he can see everywhere?

It's a boy!

Why does my brother have a beeper on him and why are you so sad?

God never puts more on you than you can handle.

He called my brother a dummy, so I popped him. By the way, his Dad
wants to talk to you. You want me to pop him too?

Look mom, Grandma found the icing from my last birthday cake under the
table. It's like a rock!

I have one Grandpa who lives in Louisiana and one Grandpa who lives in
Grandma's heart.

Dear Lord, just let him walk, we'll take it from there.

Look Mom, I can open the Fridgeafrator-oops.
.
You and Dad can't go on a date, you're married.

It's a girl!

This one's too loud, Mom. Send her back.

I left the back door open for Santa Claus and the garage door open
for the reindeer.

Dear Lord, thank you so much for letting him walk, now teach him how
to look where he's going.

There's a slobber line on my sandwich-who took a bite?

Why's the pool water so yellow around her?

The neighbor's at the door with bumps on his face. His mom wants to
know if we've had chicken pox.

To be continued...into eternity.

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video
we gave them. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty
seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was
the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such
a beautiful job! They were so suprised and so touched---they
really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so
special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for
the video too! Thanks again!"
