Michael ______________________________________________ Bridge Repair By: Sandrea Lee Larsen There is a bridge, and it’s not one-way, you see. It’s the bridge of forgiveness, between you and me. We must keep it strong, with building blocks of good treatment for ill. There is a bridge built with memories and care. Today, you may want to cross, and that’s only fair, Tomorrow, it could be me! There is a bridge suspended, over canyons and cares. It’s not a bridge built only for one, we musn’t despair. It is a way, where each of us must pass someday. There is a bridge together we keep in repair Each of us mending carefully the smallest tear, Knowing no harm can befall, when our bridge is in repair. While Irene did not write this poem, I wanted to thank her for sending it along to me. I just love it! Michae From: ReeniRN@aol.com (Irene Budd) Here is a poem I found at a hockey equipment shop in Connecticut. When our 3 boys were young my husband got up every Saturday at 4:30 a.m. in the coldest weather & laced up their skates in an unheated rink so they could get ice time with their friends. Never won a game, but my husband's best memories of being a father are drawn from those early morning hours. A COACH'S POEM There are little eyes upon you And they're watching night & day; There are little ears that quickly Take in every word you say; There are little hands so eager To do anything you do; And little ones who are dreaming Of the day they'll be like you. You're the little person's idol, You're the wisest of the wise, In his litle mind about you, No suspicions ever rise; He believes in you devoutly, Holds that all you can & do, He will say & do in your way, When he's a grown up like you. There's a wide-eyed litle person, Who believes you are always right, And his ears are always open, And he watches day & night; You are setting an example, Everyday in all you do, For the little one who's waiting, To grow up to be JUST LIKE YOU. (Author Unknown) ___________________________________________________ Thought For The Day: "It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are." Verse for the Day: "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself." Daniel 1:8 Kid's Thought for the Day: "When you hear a noise in the closet, it's scarier not to open the door and peek in." Parent's Thought For The Day "We spend our health getting wealth; then gladly pay all we have earned to get our health back." Coach's Thought For The Day "An athlete who can smile when things go wrong has thought of someone they can blame it on." Deep Thought For The Day: "Why do we search the entire room and maybe even other rooms for the TV remote, but refuse to walk to the TV and change the channel manually." _ /_/\/\ MICHAEL T. Within thirty seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such a beautiful job! They were so suprised and so touched---they really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for the video too!
