A CELEBRATION
by Terry L. Moreland
To be a father
is a most amazing gift
An awesome responsibility
to guide, to share
to learn, to teach
Finding a capacity to love
you never knew possible
Then feeling it grow
year after year
To know you'll always be there
just to be Dad
Being so proud
you could bust at the seams
Now it's time for a celebration
of one journey ending
and another beginning
A walk down the aisle
Father and Daughter together
Oh what an Honor
A celebration of life and happiness
A celebration of love
Dad

From the Straight From the Heart Guestbook!
The stories that came my way truly touched me. Our world needs this kind of stories that transform the heart and then change our attitude about life, about others, about our world. Congratulations! Keep up the good work. I pray that the Lord grant you the grace to let other experience Him through your ministry.
Do remember to send me your stories. I feel so refreshed each time I read one.
God bless you and your ministry!

I've read a couple of inspirational stories, and they've truly touched me. As a father, husband, son, and friend, I have found there's nothing greater then serving the LORD. Keep up the good work and may God bless you and yours.

I loved you site and just signed up for the daily e-mail. I love reading poems. So many have helped me in the past two years. I lost my dad on 4-29-99. My husband of 27 yrs on 5-6-99 and my nineteen year old son on 4-29-00. So I lost three important people in my live in less than a year. God does help heal the heart. At my church I met a wonderful man whom I married just a year ago.
I loved the pictures of your little boys. It brings back memories of my son. I still have two beautiful daughters. May God Bless your family

Great stories, Mike! I especially liked your "You Don't Get Engaged at a Creek!" story. (From Michael's new book: Straight From the Heart) Love at first sight does happen when you have your eyes open.

This is one of the most enlightening sites I have seen. It has brought back memories of my childhood. Also, reminded that God is in control and there is no strangers in God family. Thank you for good memories and shown me there is still God's people not afraid of standing up.

REQUESTS:
I just got a call from my mom. Baby Mary, who was doing so well this past week has been taken by ambulance to the Rockford hospital today. She is having trouble breathing, some short periods where her breathing stops altogether. She has some sort of infection and they have put her on antibiotics. Baby Patrick, who was also doing better, now has an infection, they aren't sure of what, and is on antibiotics again. Dave & Jeannie are on their way up to Rockford this afternoon to see what's up. The babies are 3 weeks old and were born premature. These little lives are so fragile and we just need your continued prayers.
Thank you in Jesus' name.

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video we gave
them. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty seconds my mom was
crying and my dad did too. They said it was the best Christmas gift we
could have given them!! You did such a beautiful job! They were so
surprised and so touched---they really, really, really loved it. Thanks
for helping to make it so special to us all. My mom mentioned how
the songs were perfect for the video too! Thanks again!"
