In Need Of A Friend

Lost and confused in a world that suddenly seemed so big
Didn't think I'd make it through another day
Then I called your name and you appeared
Sorry Lord, My call it seems is always when I'm in need
But when it seems no one is there, you never leave me
Helping me find the path to where I can call home...

I've made mistakes as we all have
Didn't think I was worthy of you, but you showed me I was wrong
So your name was called, and you took my hand
The trust I placed in you showed me hope I thought was gone
In need of a friend and you were there
Holding me together when I saw no light...

Lord, I thought I let you down
Problems seemed bigger than I could handle
Yet you filled my heart back with love
Showing me with you in my life, emptiness was gone
You called me "Friend" and I just knew I would always be safe
So I keep you forever in my heart and you never go away...

When things look dim, there seems no hope
Seeing clearer now, how wrong I was
You gave me back the power of belief
Placing my soul in your hands, made all things possible
What I was in search of, I found with you
My prayers were answered the day you heard my call...

You always amaze me, finding time to hear all in need
Thinking of the darkness I once felt, never thought I'd make it
I can stand on my own feet again, as you gave me back strength
But I know with you I'm never alone
Thank you Lord for making me see
When I'm in need of a friend your always there
How blessed I am to have you in my life
My forever friend is what you are...

My son-in-law's new pancreas is working well thus far. He has not needed any insulin in over a month. He has now gotten clearance to drive and only has to go back to the clinic once every 2 wk. (was 2x/wk). He still need lab
work 2x/wk.

Thank you for forwarding my prayer requests re my nephew Rudy (20 yrs old). The Lord hears our prayers!! Here are two updates recently received from brother:

At Rudy's first hearing after being arrested:
Basically all that happened in court was that Rudy admitted to violating his probation by not reporting to his PO. He also admitted to using while he was gone and not giving the court an address where he could be reached. I believe a request to revoke his probation was submitted but now it has to be reviewed and get all the proper signatures. So the judge said they would meet again on Monday. That's about it for now. I'll let you know what happens then. Rudy is aware that he will probably be getting sentenced to 6 months.

At Monday hearing:
Rudy was sentenced to 8 months in jail (serving two consecutive sentences).

On Tues. morning (today):
I just talked to the jail here. They said they only move someone to a federal prison if their sentence is over 1 year. So Rudy will stay here in town. I can still visit him once a week for 10 minutes. And he can still call me collect.

End of update. A very, very interesting work of the Lord was revealed to our family the other day by a telephone call from Rudy while in jail the other day. Let me go back 3 yrs and fill you in first readers, thanks. About 3 yrs ago, while Rudy was living w/a few others in a house in his small town, a guy broke into Rudy's house while he was sleeping and attacked him with a knife. Rudy ended up getting cut on the arm and the guy got away. They haven't seen this guy in the last 3 years.

Well, Rudy called my brother two days ago from jail and told him that the very same guy who broke in and cut him was right there in jail with him. My brother asked Rudy if he was having any "problems" with the guy being there, etc. Rudy answered that he was not worried about the guy. When my brother asked Rudy why he was not worried, Rudy said "Because the guy is into that JESUS STUFF now" Is God working or what!!!!!!! Amen!! Seems Rudy has a Christian jail mate. . . Praise God!!! Thank you for your continued prayers!!! God Bless all of you and your families!!!
