By: Neko lyree Uson - Cruz
When I opened my eyes for the first time, You cradled me in your arms.. Holding my fragile being as the sun starts to shine, Stroking my forehead so gently and warm. Then I heard a certain hymn in my little ears,
Whispering you said "this is our song my little dear"... You are my sunshine...my only sunshine...
You make me happy , when skies are gray... You'll never know dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away.... As I begin to explore and take my very first lessons,
You watch me take the crawl to the steps and the hops. Then you guide me from the bottle to the cup, Rewarding me for every milestone with a thumbs up. We sang that song again, now with much fervor..
Telling me, "this is our song my little One" Marching in unison like soldiers of valor; Laughing out loud and having so much fun. Months went by with a breeze and turned into years; You looked at me with pride, your eyes seemingly with tears. As I walk down the aisle, I thanked you for all your teachings; Of your presence, wisdom and love that others are yearning. You smiled and whispered our song again,
This time, my heart sank with a tinge of pain. When you said "this is for you, now that you're a Lady", Softly I spoke "This Lady will always be your baby". Now, after 29 summers, things will never be the same' For he is now in our Father's loving grace. Cradling him... much like the way in which I came; A place full of warmth and loving embrace. So I sing to you our song together,
Even though you're not here to hear. You are and will always be my sunshine forever; Your memory and wisdom, I will keep and hold dear. Your legacy will stay as I sing our song again,
To this little bundle of joy I hold so lovingly. I will be his sunshine as you are to me then; Kissing his forehead, I close my eyes to sing dearly... You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when skies are gray You'll never know dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away.... Neko lyree Uson - Cruz

***************** I wrote this poem in memory of my father's legacy. To all sons and
daughters, love and honor your parents. They have given so much to us and contributed to what we are today. Give them a kiss or a hug or even just a simple call to let them know how much we care. When the day comes that we become parents ourselves, that is the time we would truly understand what our parents have gone through. I work as a legal administrative assistant for a power generation
company here in Manila, Philippines. I am 29 years old, happily married and have a two-year-old little boy. Besides raising a family and taking care of my son, I love to write and express my experiences in life on paper. ___________________________________________________
REQUEST:
From: pamsmk@juno.com
Dear Michael, Please pray for a wonderful young woman who attended our church and Christian high school with my grandson. This young woman's name is Candace and until about a week ago lived with her father, a devout Christian man who along with Candace sang in our choir. Her father had sole custody of her since she was very young due to her being raped and abused by a family member on her mother's side. This man has done everything to raise her in a loving, Christian home. She will turn 18 next week and suddenly made the decision to move out of her father's house and into the home of someone in her mother's family. We are all so worried about her and cannot imagine the pain her father is experiencing. She now goes to a public high school, quit the choir (we don't even know if she is going to any church now) and also her role in our youth leadership team at church. We would appreciate any prayers for Candace and her father, Steve. Thanks you so much and God bless you & all who pray for them. Pam M. ___________________________________________________

I had to listen to the sound clip - having an almost 3 year old, I know how funny they can be! But I had the sound turned up too high and scared my 7 month old daughter who was in her exersaucer! Thanks again for your ministry and your stories! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name:Lucinda aka Sunshine Date:08/25/00 Email Address:sunshine1012@snip.net Message:I adore the "Caleb & Connor" page. "There are dreamers and there are planners; the planners make their dreams come true."
Verse for the Day:
"For I have plans for you, declares the Lord. Plan to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Kid's Thought For The Day:
"You can make chores fun by telling everyone you are Cinderella. Unless you are a boy, in which case they might look at you a little funny."
Parent's Thought For The Day
"Advice for the day: If you have a lot of tension and you get
a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle: Take two and keep away from the children." Coach's Thought For The Day
"Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off the goal."
Deep Thought For The Day:
"At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear co-worker who is leaving the company due to 'downsizing', our manager spoke up and said, "This is fun. We should have lunch like this more often." Not another word was spoken. We just looked at each
other like deer staring into the headlights of an approaching truck." _

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video we gave them. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such a beautiful job! They were so surprised and so touched---they really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for the video too! Thanks again!"
