Albert Einstein arrives at a party and introduces himself to the first person he sees and asks, "What is your IQ?" to which the man answers "241." "That is wonderful!," says Albert. "We will talk about the Grand Unification Theory and the mysteries of the Universe. We will have much to discuss!" Next Albert introduces himself to a woman and asks, "What is your IQ?" To which the lady answers, "144." "That is great!," responds Albert. "We can discuss politics and current affairs. We will have much to discuss!" Albert goes to another person and asks, "What is your IQ?" to which the man answers, "51." Albert responds, "How 'bout them Green Bay Packers?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One day, a little girl is sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly notices that her mother has several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to her brunette hair. She looks at her mother and inquisitively asks, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?" Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white." The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then asked, "Momma, how come all of grandma's hairs are white?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More poetry from Miriam! This poem is very special to me because these words were said to me by my husband. That is why the poem is written as if a man wrote it. You and I...Are One You know why I fell in love with you? Because when I looked inside your heart I saw myself in it I saw someone lonely and alone Someone searching for love, searching for her soul. All the feelings in your heart, the emptiness you felt I was feeling it too And as much as you wanted someone to make your dreams come true I too was looking, searching, hoping and then... I met you. Because I saw myself in you My wants were your wants My loneliness was your loneliness My desires were your desires Because you longed for what I longed My soul I gave to you. ” January 1999 Miriam Campo Miry316@aol.com http://www.heartwarmers4u.com/members/?miry316 REFLECTIONS by Miriam A SPECIAL THANK YOU! From: vikflo@urec.net (Viki Florkowski) (Viki shares her poetry with us from time to time) Michael Dear, I am touched by the response of the members on your list. Unfortunately my time is very limited and I am unable to thank each of them personally at this time. I have kept each of their messages to me and when time permits I will most certainly respond to each of them. I know you are aware of the hazards of working 3rd shift, and in addition I am preparing for quizzes and midterms in school, so all my time is spent to that end. Perhaps you could thank them for me, I would be very grateful. As always, your newsletter is first-class! Thank you so much.
