It chokes me to my very soul, With utter loneliness. How must my Father feel, each day; As I cast His hand aside? His gentle hand, that comforts me Like the gently, rolling tide. Sometimes I get so busy, As I race from place to place; I forget that I can rest in Him And contemplate His face. For, I see His face in everything, And in all I hope to do. I, even, see His precious face, Each time I look at you. I wonder how He feels, when I Spend days without a care, And does He shed a tear, when I Forget to kneel in prayer? Perhaps when I feel lonely, And I don't know where to start, I could bend my knees, and bow my head And learn my Father's heart. I'm a US Navy veteran, as is my husband, and home means something special to us. It means, a place to grow old surrounded by family and friends. However, as we now live in uncertain times, I am so thankful to know that I have a loving, Heavenly Father, who watches over me, who listens, who applauds my successes...and when I fail...who wipes away my tears. _________________________________________ Reader Feedback! Michael, Mary-Ellen's memories of a time that our country was at Unity with one another, and fighting a WAR overseas makes me realize how important it is to be as one in our own country. The fear she went through afraid of bombings was something instilled in so many children. It is a good parent who helps calm those fears. Each WAR our country has been involved in has seen a different response. W.W.II was a country united, standing behind the boys as they left. My own father and uncle were among them. Korea, was a hard WAR, but not as much unity, and the publicity wasn't as strong. The Vietnam WAR was one that many decided we shouldn't be in....so there were draft dodgers, flag burners, demonstrations and YES, many boys who went served and stood up for what our country believes. NOW, we are again in Unity as we stand behind our President, and pray for wisdom and to God to turn our Country into a Christian example of what all countries should be. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such a beautiful job! They were so surprised and so touched--they really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for the video too!
