So many pages will define the latitudes that change outline and others, longitudes with force each bittered or bewildered course. In searching all the earth I've found the silent heart that bleeds aloud on eyes we stare in finding home each one apart yet not alone the cry of unrequited love our deepest human need, a hug our morsel of our will to live the purposes we aim to give the shadows of our own neath sky as hawks will soar and scatter by or cows that graze on grasses green or spider webs we dare to clean. Yes, life has many books to write and each alone can fill the page the ink that blends or smears the lines for words that ought be read ten times and love for life is never dull a million books will prove to tell a million stories of a million lives with different ways to view through eyes... Yet here, the poet I bequest I've oft to write just to protest the mean an honery ways we live to kick the spirit of those who give a morsel of themselves away with nothing more to ask or say just for the cause to ease your soul as weary it begets to hold the burdens and the splendid things oh all of life's rememberings... Perhaps the misappropriate times have cursed the innocent lives and never a soul til now hath dared to speak out loud or be prepared as mockers look to laugh and kill the spirit of another's will or yet to rob and bury joy their pain that only knows destroy and worships only this to give a thorn or knife, a spit to wind for to have never seen the earth and sod tis cursed to never see the eyes of God and though a million books I write not one can ever measure this that if I reach just one of them perhaps the lord my soul will bless and all the eyes that lean to see to read of truths perplexity not cover theirs to what is right then I've a million books to write I think I'll start my first...tonight. ©2000 Lisa Maria LMN777@aol.com Send Lisa an email and let her know what you thought of her poem! ================================================ A little bit about Lisa: I live in the Los Angeles area and have all my life. Within thirty seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such a beautiful job! They were so surprised and so touched---they really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for the video too!
